In June 2014, Rick Klau —a partner in Google's venture fund —gave me a personal tour of Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California. I came with a million questions about Google, and he answered all of them. I learned about Google's self-driving cars, its artificial intelligence research, its culture, and the ability of employees to work on personal projects. This visit left me dreaming that one day I would return to Mountain View as a Google employee.
